Abstract

Hugos Cafe Malang is one of the leading companies engaged in the largest entertainment sector, where every day hundreds of visitors come to enjoy the type of entertainment presented is quite unique, different, and contemporary. The management has a vision and is committed to always providing entertainment and the best service for its customers. Employees are one of the important aspects in supporting this, so far in the performance appraisal of outstanding employees only use direct leadership decisions. Employee assessment is only done from one side of the leadership reference so that employees are less motivated in showing their best performance. In this research aims to build a Decision Support System and assist management for the selection of outstanding employees at Hugos Cafe Malang. In this study using the TOPSIS method. TOPSIS is a multicriteria decision making method where TOPSIS (Technique for Others Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) uses the principle that the chosen alternative must have the closest distance from the positive ideal solution and the longest distance from the negative ideal solution to determine the alternative with the optimal solution. This research uses several criteria, namely: attendance, target achievement, teamwork, customer complaint service, and performance. By using the TOPSIS method this study produces optimal selection results so that the TOPSIS method is very suitable for use in the selection of outstanding employees
